Tap tap, I want to dance to the sound of neurons in my head
Pulsating from snippets skipping across my synapses,
As if they were oval stones bouncing over the current
Of a gently flowing stream.
Neuro-transmitters send smooth vibrations across the waters
Headed towards rushing rapids.
Rocks and boulders are up ahead,
White water awaits!
Will those pulsating snippets of sound quiet my mind
So I can navigate the river?
Here comes the rain to stir up the waters.
Let me hum a melody that dams up the rushing waves
To create a reservoir that is tranquil
So I can catch some rainbow trout.
