Where is that guide who leads me
Past all the stirring waters?
Keeps me out of trouble,
So I don’t stumble or falter.
Sometimes he leaves me stranded
When I need him the most.
Then trouble comes along my way,
I may be visited by a ghost.
A ghost who leads me astray
Into a swirling current
That leads to murky waters.
I long for some assurance
From a higher power
Upon whose strength I lean
I try to quiet my mind
So the ghost will soon leave.
