The sea eroded the mountain.
The mountain submerged into the sea,
Littering the ocean bottom
With rocks to shelter clinging starfish.
The jagged rocks felt sharp,
Keeping predators at bay.
Those rocks protruded to protect me
When I was washed by the sea.
Down deep I dove far below the algae,
Leaving lush greenery behind,
As my mind took a dive
Beneath the twinkling of light.
Yet I came up out of the waters
Gasping for a breath
Of fresh air to renew
My resolve to create something new.
